So many stories, I had to write!

OK so it's been FOREVER...and it's really because I got so behind writing on this that I couldn't catch up, so I just didn't attempt! Sad I know... But let me fill you in as much as I can and then I'll tell a pretty good story from last night.

Big news is... Rob and I broke up. About 6 weeks ago actually. For his sake I won't go into detail but it wasn't exactly the nicest breakup. I'm working on getting over things. We both went to a wedding (mutual friends of ours got married) where we were seated together, and that was pretty tough, I think that was one of the longest days of my life.
Kind of a big deal also, I'm moving out of Indiana. I moved here primarily for him and for our relationship, this move is a huge step for me because this was a phase of my life I thought would last forever. I think it's the saddest I've ever been about moving away from somewhere. But I know I've got to be strong because it is for the best for me to get away. I'm going to move up to Michigan for a while to stay with my sister and her husband. I hope to get quite a bit of relaxing in, since the past 2 years have been pretty chaotic. My lease is up July 21, so I'll be moving in less than 2 weeks...which is extremely weird. I don't even feel like I'm "in" this situation, I feel like I'm floating around in this body... Maybe that doesn't make sense to anyone else, but I suppose if you've never felt this way there's no explaining it. I've been going out with friends a lot - too much, actually - and not sleeping a whole lot.... I'll work on that :) ... I found a storage unit today, I'll be moving most of my stuff in there this weekend! Weird.

So let's see, this week, Lily (my kitten) is sick...She got some sort of skin "hot spot," the vet thinks a bug bit her and she had a bad reaction to it :( Her fur and skin are coming off on her neck/back area. It's really, really sad, I can barely look at her without getting a sick feeling in my stomach - she's so uncomfortable! And she wants to scratch it and lick it, but it's an open wound that has bled now so I have to keep her from that... She got a shot yesterday, and I have to put medicines on her wound 3 times a day - she hates one in particular because it burns pretty badly :( I feel terrible for my little baby! I cannot imagine if I actually had a child who had something similar, now I know why my mom always hurt so much for me when I was sick!

Let's see okay....we have the Rob news, the moving news....Lily news....

Post-breakup I went on a blind date that was the longest date ever on record I swear (literally and figuratively), but also for that guys sake I won't put all the info up on the blog. I'm happy to tell elsewhere ....(like maybe in my book, with an anonymous name and using my penname... ; ) ).... I've been on a few dates, and I don't mind hanging out having fun... but honestly, I kind of want to be left alone for a while. I'm not ready, I'm not over everything, I'm still having issues with what just happened and I'm vulnerable and extra sensitive right now so I hope guys can understand and back off a bit...(They don't seem to understand though, I'll add...) I'm hoping the move to Michigan will help. Give me some down time :)

I went home a couple of weeks ago for my brothers 30th birthday - it was awesome :) - My siblings and I all went to the 311/Snoop Dogg concert ON his birthday. Interesting that it was on his bday because they are his favorites. On his birthday, in our hometown. Irony? Fate? :) Anyhow, we had a great time, I was home for a week, really busy seeing people the first half of the week, busy with family the second half. I love my family :) Even though we do get a little sick of each other after a while... ; ) ha... The picture above is of all the siblings (other than Diane....boooo) at the concert. Even the in-laws came!!!
So...Jorny turned thirty! :) We also had a cousin party for the 6 cousins turning 30 this year. They called it a Dirty Thirty party. Fun times!

I made a trip to St Louis, actually before the Omaha trip, for Nikki's birthday, which was amazing and fun :-D It was one of the better trips I've had there, going out that night was awesome and Nikki and I got to spend a lot of time together 1-on-1 Sat/Sun which I always enjoy. I did get stranded one night, I had my friends drop me off at Church...and then no one came to pick me up later, Karen fell asleep! It started to rain and started getting late....Plus my phone started to die! I was frantic, talking to my friend Kevin on the phone, and he came to get me! Thank goodness. Thanks Kevin :) I was pretty scared - the bums and I were all kind of together that night. I don't think I ever want to be a (Church-Dressed!) bum again!
(Thank you Lenny for the FREE TICKET to St Louis... and Chinese food :-D)

So on to the story of the day. This is a good one.
Some friends of mine were going up to Chitown to go to a Cubs game last night... I had kind of a bad vibe about it (no joke) and I was worried about Lily, but I still decided I'd go along since I need to get out of my apartment and my friends really wanted me to. I tried to get them to order tix online beforehand but they wouldnt (this is key. ha)...So we drove up there after work, and walked around looking for tickets, which we bought from a couple of guys....when we got them, I said, "these look funny, why do these ones look different than what they should, and why do the others say standing room only?" (they were all sposed to be bleachers, not standing...standing room only tix are like 15 bucks day of the game, we paid 60 apiece)... well Nate, who wasn't all the nicest to me last night, said "no, theyre all the same thing" (with attitude, like I was an idiot)...Turns out I knew what I was talking about, the tickets were fake. Well, half of them. Nate and his girlfriend and another kid all went in without us cuz they got the "good" tickets (the standing room only ones, which aren't exactly "good" but better than nothing)...so they all just went in and didnt come out for us or anything.
While they were inside getting cool free cubs bags and enjoying the inside of Wrigley, we had to file a police report. They caught the guys, with our descriptions, and we have a court date if we want to get money back. It's kind of a waste to go to court, although these guys did make about $500 off of us, because we don't live in Chicago and the gas money is about what each of us would get back. But we'll see, because it's the principal of the thing :)
To add more fuel to my fire..I had given Nate $120 cuz the tickets were $60 and my friend Jeff was meeting us. Nate didnt even count the money he gave the guy... and he gave him an extra 60, which ended up coming out of my pocket somehow. Nate and I talked several times about how much money I was giving him, because he made change for it.... I am not so pleased with Nate. Other than that, I handled the whole situation just fine, I must say...I was like "alright, oh well, not anything we can do now, lets GO HAVE FUN!! wooo!" (I think I annoyed everyone cuz I was a little too happy for them to handle :) ha)...I just figured, well, we drove up here, let's not let those loser thieves ruin our night!
We ended up going to a bar (Murphy's Bleachers) across from the stadium, eating greasy food, drinking beers (okay not so much beers for me), socializing and watching the game...I'd say we had a decent time overall. I'm bummed that I lost so much money, but... oh well :) Nothing I can really do about it now, and it's another story for the book I swear I'll write. Here's a picture of me in front of the stadium I have yet to get into! (And Harry Caray) Did I mention that going to Wrigley for a game is in my "Top Ten Things to do Before I die"?? :)

This is probly long enough to entertain everyone...Looking forward to some responses.

Much love to you all!
