Life's Little Happy Moments :)

This morning I had another doctor's appt, and although it was a little painful, I found out something reeeeally cool! My uterus is shaped EXACTLY like a heart! Even the lab tech was impressed, so it must not usually happen, she was pretty excited about it too! It's really a perfect little heart shape. SWEET, thank you God for my little present today :) It made the appointment a little easier.
OK what also helped was the sweet treat I got for myself from Starbucks afterwards... so I know when I have these appointments I splurge on a treat and spoil myself, but it honestly helps me feel better. :)....and yes, I'm a dietitian so maybe I should treat myself with new workout pants or something, but what's the fun in that? ; ) I love my lattes. And I got a new one today, a Marble Mocha thing. Yep, pretty sinful! ; )....
If someone from Starbucks could just adopt me and use me for advertisement, so I could get free beverages there, I'd go ahead and cover my blog page, facebook page, myspace page, etc with Starbucks logos....no joke. Anyone out there? haha... Well anyhow, sorry about the "personal comment" again but it's really neat and I thought I'd share, hopefully you all don't mind. Hardly anyone reads this blog anyhow :) And I just got really long-winded! What else is new? :)
So, the other little thing that really made my day was...getting a new library card!!! (It's really cute, I might add, with little books on the front. It's so fresh and white. I know that sounds weird, but it's really a neat thing!) I haven't had a library membership in quite a while, since I've moved around so much. But now, there is a library really close to my apartment! I can walk there when it gets warm!!!

Libraries are AWESOME!!! Just think about it, you can check out as many as 75 books each time
I honestly had forgotten what an amazing place it is. You don't have to pay anything (unless you don't return the books on time for others to enjoy :))

I mean, okay, side note: I know our taxes are paying some of this, but all our taxes could go to other things, like war and highway repairs, and some of it goes to.... expanding our minds! Going on adventures! Learning valuable lessons! Reading to children! Really you can practically learn whatever you want, the library is full of options!

The library makes me feel so good! :) I had a hard time choosing just three books to check out (and since it was a short lunch break for me I didn't have much time, either), but I knew next time I go I will probably bring home 10 or 12. You can keep them for TWO WEEKS, too! And you can even renew for another two weeks.
Wow. I love the library. I can't wait to have little kids, too, and take them to pick out books to read.

Did I mention they have movies?!!!! Next time, don't pay to rent a movie, just check your local library - they have new movies, not just old! Rent three, if you feel like it! :)
There is just something about the library that makes me think about the fact that there is still so much good in the world :)

See, these little things today really made me happy... I might be in a little pain, but when I'm done working today I'm going to put a heating pad on my lower tummy, curl up with a blanket, sip a hot chocolate, and read one of the fabulous books I checked out from the library!
When one door of happiness closes, another opens, but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one that has been opened for us. ~Helen Keller

I didn't know that the library has movies. Do they have recent releases? If so, I'm totally getting a library card!

Well, I'm not sure how recent, but I know my sister got "Little Miss Sunshine" a few weeks ago, and I know that's a little old, but I still had wanted to rent it, you know? She got other "newer" ones too but I can't remember which... yep, go to the library!!! it's so fun!
I'm reading "Men are from Mars...Women are from Venus" first, I can already tell I'm going to crack up at the similarities in my relationship!
