Things you may or may not already know....

In order for myself to remember these things, and for you to learn all the fun facts about me, I'm posting some random about-me facts. Yay :)
I'll probably add to this almost daily, when I think of things, but I'll start:

1. I was on a tv show when I was about 7 years old. It was some health show (I can't even remember the name of it, but granted it was over 15 years ago), and I was on there cuz I was a guinea pig for new medical technology.

2. I have an "adopted" African-American brother, his name is Ralph. (I say "adopted" because it isn't a big-ordeal-adoption situation, just a boy who needed somewhere to go and came to live with us and now has "mom and dad" and all 6 of us brothers and sisters. We don't see him very often anymore. :( )

3. I had a cat from about the time I was 8 until mid-highschool. Now a lot of you might know that, but probably don't know the way I found him - I was helping my brother with his paper route :-D

4. I am really, really afraid of being alone in the dark. And I don't really like to watch super scary movies, either, they freak me out too much.

5. I don't really like being alone in general, at least a majority of the time. Could be because I almost always had company growing up : )

6. When I was five or six, I went was at one of those "family functions" where everyone gets together at a park. I wanted to be playing with my friend, and told my mom I was bored. I'm not sure exactly what happened, but I know that I told her that if she didn't listen to me I would just walk home by myself. Well, I could tell she didn't believe me, cuz she just laughed it off. That made me mad, and I was pretty stubborn, so I thought, "I'll show her!!!" and I started walking. I jay-walked across one of the busiest streets, walked across an interstate bridge, the whole bit - and just used landmarks to find my way (I didn't really know directions, I mean for petes sake I was pretty little)....I miraculously made it home, and played with my friend next door. I remember I felt really sick because I knew that probably wasn't a good idea (my friend's mom told me so), and my friend gave me a Dr. Pepper to drink ---- for the next 15 years (not exaggerating) I could not stand any hint of the taste of Dr. Pepper, it made me nauseated.

oh side note, I got grounded for the only time in my life that day. I was only grounded for most of the rest of the day, and had to write a note to my mom saying why it was bad. I couldn't really write much anyways, so it was pretty short, but I guess it worked cuz then I got to go next door and play in the pool. :) Thanks mom.

7. The ladies at Gymboree think I have a baby because I shop in there so much. They just assume and I don't have the heart to tell them I'm just a crazy Auntie who likes to spoil her nieces and nephews (or at least look at the things I wish I could buy them), and who likes little tiny versions of everything. :)
