So did anyone else know that apparently we're all supposed to eat pancakes on Fat Tuesday? And did you know some people call it "Shrove" Tuesday??? I'm not sure what all of this huballoo about pancakes is, but I don't mind an excuse to eat them. With extra butter and syrup. We didn't eat that yesterday, but I know a lot of people who did. And I got my fill of good food yesterday that is for suuuure!
So today is Ash Wednesday, the beginning of Lent. For some reason I woke up at 3:45 this morning and never went back to sleep. I read for over an hour, then my sister and her husband got up at about 5, and we went to Mass at 6:30. The priest put a very large cross on my forehead - it actually went all the way up into my widows peak!
